Lavenham, farm bed & breakfast accommodation
 Breakfast
(bantams eggs, home-grown sausages, fruit compote) and occasional dinners
(for 4+ adults minimum) are taken in the large sunny hall living room
(right), warmed in winter by a large woodburner, and well stocked with
books, maps and local information.
All bedrooms have spectacular views across ancient wildflower meadows,
hedged Suffolk countryside and our walled garden. They contain period
furniture, beautiful pictures, books, magazines, flowers and potions
(and TV).
All bedrooms share one spacious bath/shower room, another
loo and access to a second bathroom at peak times. (left)The room was re-modelled in the Adams style in
1770 as an upstairs ladies’ sitting room (with a fine fireplace
and early woodwork), and then used in the 1800s by eight spinsters
as their sewing and spinning room.
It is a very large room with a double bed, a single
bed plus room for a cot or another bed, a sofa, armchairs and still room to do cartwheels across the floor (maximum four people please).
A trek to the shared bathroom.
(right)The Gallery room has walls are covered with antique Suffolk
maps and prints. A very large twin bedroom and plenty of room for an
extra cot or bed - and still room to wander around the room, sit in
the armchair and gaze at the views - north and south.
It has an enormous wall-to-wall
bookcase heaving with books. Next to shared bathroom.

This is a delightful twin bedroom (left) housing
numerous pencil drawings, etchings and watercolours by Harry Becker.
It has a lovely view of the wildflower meadow and half of Suffolk. Next
to shared bathroom.
- sorry our bedrooms are vast, beautiful and ancient and, due to historic listing we are unable to spoil the character of rooms to provide en suite facilities. However, the shared bathroom is large and has a fantastic view to make up for it and there's dozens more loos around the house! Occasionally the self-catering cartlodge double with bathroom en-suite is available on a b&b basis.
Tariff - prices per night b&b
