INDOOR ACTIVITIES – What will you do at Milden?
Table tennis & table football:
Roll out the tables in the barn and keep fit on a wet day!
Murder mystery:
The Milden medieval murder mystery is is set in rural Suffolk around 1400 - a dead body has been plucked from one of the duck ponds close to the tithe barn… The 3 hour mystery is script-based and has been written for 15 role-players including facilitiators, and is performed around a banquet served with a medieval flavour.
Enjoy a Tudor evening:
We have the tableware (wooden platters, pewter spoons, glazed pottery goblets and potage bowls), warm Tudor peasant costumes, games and quizes, and music to dance to.
Cook your own meal (we can suggest menus) or have it delivered.
Put on a play:
We have a children’s dressing up box and adults’ Tudor wardrobe – mainly woollen peasant costumes – and plenty of Tudor reference books!
Hire in dance tutors:
Learn Tudor or Georgian dancing! Or get a barn dance band in with a caller for an evening’s dance.
Yoga: Come, spread out and enjoy the peace and space of the barn.

70 th birthday & family gathering
… what a fantastic weekend we had, and a big thank you for your generous hospitality. The party and the weekend as a whole really couldn't have gone any better- the barn was an amazing place to stay in and just brilliant for the kids…. and hopefully, if you'll have us, we will be back for other special occasions.

40 th birthday gathering of friends with their children
Thank you so much for making my extended 40 th so enjoyable for us and all of our friends. The children had so much space in which to express themselves leaving the parents to enjoy the best that the excellent local shops had to offer! Arriving first and being the hosts, we had the first pick of the bedrooms but all who slept in the main barn commented on how solidly they had slept, no doubt helped by the energy expended during the day by the kids!

Lunch for Swedish guests on East Anglian culture tour
I cannot tell you how much my 20 Swedes enjoyed lunch in the barn. They kept talking about it and were clearly quite overawed! It certainly was a pleasure to be able to show them such a unique place as Milden Hall.

Theatre workshop
We had such a fantastic time in the barn and on your farm and I wish we could've have stayed longer. I have been showing photos to friends and family here and they are all hopelessly jealous … hope to be able to come back sometime soon.
