Weddings, humanist ceremonies and 'medieval' banquets

Milden Hall
Milden Hall
Inside the Tudor Barn

For 20 years we have occasionally let out our romantic walled garden and 16th century barn for wedding receptions and humanist ceremonies - and as of February 2007, we are now licenced for wedding ceremonies..

Milden Hall barn and garden provides a beautiful tucked away rural location on an unspoilt and environmentally friendly farm for those who want a country wedding.

Wedding

The large garden with roses, honeysuckle, lavender and copper beech, tulip and Judas trees provides a beautiful sunny reception area - for champagne, pimms or wine and canapés or tea and scones - and a perfect backdrop for quiet bands to play, the sound of wood on wood with croquet and for relaxed and informal wedding photographs.

Our large barn with long tables (Suffolk oak, made locally) with trestle or round tables provides plenty of room for seating, a wet-day reception or ceremony and dancing for 100+ guests

Barn dances and banquets

As well as being used by the local community for barn dances, harvest horkies and nativity plays, the barn is let for private barn dances, banquets, seminars and team-building away-days. We can provide help with contacts for bands, caterers and local accommodation.

Beyond the barn and ample meadow car park are tracks around the farm, wildflower meadows, ancient hedges, woods, cornfields and the castle earthworks.
