MILDEN HALL CARTLODGE IN WINTER AND MIDWEEK

Self-catering for 4-10

Whilst the Tudor barn and cartlodge sleeps up to 22, in winter we also welcome smaller groups in Milden Hall cartlodge. This 17th century cartlodge is underfloor-heated with a downstairs double with en-suite bathroom and upstairs twin bedroom. The sunny, spacious and well-equipped kitchen can seat 10-12 around the kitchen table, with an upstairs sitting room, two bathrooms, and a large entrance hall for muddy boots and wet coats.

In winter use our guides, maps and local information to explore the farm's castle earthworks and woodland, try our planned circular walks and bike rides (short and long), go on a fungi foray, explore our farm museum, or potter around antique shops in local medieval villages, Lavenham, Long Melford and Kersey. Children can feed bantams and pigs, bike around the farm tracks and, when they're tired or it's raining, there's plenty of games, books, dressing up box or TV and videos.

Interconnecting to the cartlodge is a very large 16 th century barn adapted to host parties, wedding receptions and 16 more bedspaces – this is available for a few extra people or if you want to hire this for a night of your stay to invite some friends over please do enquire.

Prices include VAT, towels, linen, made up beds, electricity, and heating in the cartlodge, use of bikes (5 adults' bikes, 6 children's bikes of varying sizes), tennis court (bring your own racquets and balls), table tennis, barbecue. Electric cooker, dishwashers, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, cot and high chairs.
